This charger did not have enough power to charge my Nokia phone which is what i purchased it for. It did manage to charge my mp3 player though.

1.0 out of 5 stars deserves no stars, 20 Nov 2009

All modern usb charger phones need to communicate with the charger before charging, but unfortunately this charger is not clever enough to communicate with the phones that i tested below:
    1. Samsung- recognises that there is power but does not take any charge at all from this usb charger.
    2. Nokia- does not know what it is.
    3. Motorola- gives me a message that this is an unsafe charging terminal.
    4. Sony ericsson- says that this is a replice and will not charge from it. For sony ericsson there is replice chargers available from carphone warehouse which do charge the phone and allows to use the handsfree system with voice command.

    What you need to know:

    1) Yep, it works
    2) It's not amazingly built, but it hasn't broken so far
    3) the springs hold the unit in place well when in use.

All told, it's exactly what I was hoping for.
