    After reading quite a number of reviews I decided this was the sat nav for me,an easy to use and very user friendly piece of kit with some very nice and useful features . On a recent trip to Brittany France it proved to be invaluable,I could not have managed without it as the local roads where a maze of twisting country lanes and a vast amount of roundabouts,it would have been a real nightmare without this great sat nav,In Britain it proved to be just as reliable.A very nice piece of equipment that I can thoroughly recommend .

    The SATNAV arrived the day after I ordered it. It took me less than 1 minute from plugging it into my car for me to have programmed it and for it to be navigating. It gathers GPS signals almost instantly and re-calculates routes very quickly. The screen is large and clear, and the lane guidance is excellent. As this device was on offer, I paid just over half what I would have paid for comparable items. Although I have yet to try it in Europe until this summer, I am very impressed that it comes with full western European mapping included. Fantastic value for money.

    The only drawback is the case I bought (as recommended by Amazon). It is quite bulky and difficult to store in the car, contains the SATNAV and cable with acres of spare (wasted) space, but you can't quite get the windscreen mount into it. Time the SATNAV manufacturers came up with better ways of mounting SATNAVs and supply them as standard and not as expensive extras.

    I looked at various Sat Nav devices,and at first was going to buy Tom-Tom. However after reading about other folks experiences, in the end I bought a Garmin Nuvi 1440. I must say I am very satisfied with it. It does take quite a while to download the maps,but it is well worth it.I would recommend this unit to anyone. I found it very easy to set-up, and a dream to use, especially the lane feature.I have owned and used this unit now for a couple of months, and I am quite sure that when I replace this I will go Garmin again.
