21 of 21 people found the following review helpful Excellent, By This review is from: Amazon Basics Carrying Case for Portable GPS Units (Black) (Electronics) Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme ( What's this?) We got a Garmin Nuvi 1340 back in August, so we were looking for a case that would make sure the screen was protected. It's a durable, faux-leather protector with expandable sides. It has a soft lining to stop your screen from getting scratched and has a small pocket on the front. I know a lot of people will look at the price and most likely think it can't be anything special. But if you're only looking for something simple and basic which works, well this is great. :-) No way would I spend lots of money on something like this. My 4.3 inch screen fits in nicely, is well protected and safe, plus you get Amazon Basics 1-Year Limited Warranty, which I didn't expect. :-) I would definitely recommend it to others, as I'm extremely happy with this product. :-) 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful good protection at a very reasonable price, By This review is from: Amazon Basics Carrying Case for Portable GPS Units (Black) (Electronics) Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme ( What's this?) This case is large enough to fit the widescreen Nuvi but could also be used for its smaller version. It is made of faux leather, but it feels pleasant to the touch and it is well padded. The elasticated sides provide a good fit, so that there seems little risk that the sat nav will slide out. Overall this seems to be a well-made product offering good protection at a very reasonable cost.If you don't have a widescreen Nuvi, I would recommend the Garmin Nuvi non-widescreen case which is made of real leather and available for about the same price. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Not for slim line, By This review is from: Amazon Basics Carrying Case for Portable GPS Units (Black) (Electronics) Don't buy it for a slim line sat nav it won't stay in mine keeps falling out Had to put a bit of foam in it to keep the sat nav in place.Apart from that it's a nice pouch |

Garmin Nuvi 2495LMT 4.3" Sat Nav with Europe Maps, Lifetime Map and Traffic Updates, and Bluetooth Cheap
Garmin Nuvi 2495LMT 4.3" Sat Nav with Europe Maps, Lifetime Map and Traffic Updates, and Bluetooth Reviews
14 of 14 people found the following review helpful Garmin Nuvi 2495LMT 4.3" Sat Nav with Europe Maps, By Amazon Verified Purchase( What is this?) This review is from: Garmin Nuvi 2495LMT 4.3" Sat Nav with Europe Maps, Lifetime Map and Traffic Updates, and Bluetooth (Electronics) Have owned a Garmin before. About 6 years ago was tempted by an offer on a TomTom Go, what a mistake. The recent problems with a software update left the TomTom pretty well useless. Back to a wonderful Garmim. So easy to use. Decent restaurants and hotels listed in the database (not just fast foods). No subscriptions to update maps or traffic. Near your destination there is a car park search facility. Garmins are the best!!!!! 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful Excellent Value, Amazon Verified Purchase( What is this?) This review is from: Garmin Nuvi 2495LMT 4.3" Sat Nav with Europe Maps, Lifetime Map and Traffic Updates, and Bluetooth (Electronics) For some reason they don't ship outside the UK so I enlisted a friend in the UK to help to get it to NZ. Silly really - do they think no-one else travels to Europe? Amazon ship very quickly with good packaging. Anyway, a very good unit especially with the LifeTime Map and Traffic Update.Has the usual budget Garmin non-powered mount which is not as convenient as the more expensive powered type and is less convenient. Usual pathetic Get Started User Guide - the real one has to be downloaded. The nuvi range is easy to use, update and there's lots of user support via forums. Garmin is the only brand to consider I believe thanks to the wide variety of free, 3rd party and Garmin maps for most places of the world. Recommended model. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful Works well could easily have been even better though, This review is from: Garmin Nuvi 2495LMT 4.3" Sat Nav with Europe Maps, Lifetime Map and Traffic Updates, and Bluetooth (Electronics) Mostly it works very well indeed. Especially the accuracy of the full postcode search. However, here is the rub: With a whole load of postcodes in history you will want to edit with a note like put someone's name in but no facility for that. You will also want to delete some records and not others, again no facility, it is all or nothing. Maybe this is possible if you connect to pc but I just want to keep it simple but be able to edit description and delete individually. Some speed limits on roads are out of date even with latest updates, and I think the speed camera thingy is a bit of a false sense of security but better on than off all the same. Glad I got it but hope updates will improve the editability as I have described. Three and a half stars would be my accurate rating for this. Customer support is good....eventually, good but slow response email support. |

Garmin Nuvi 2200 3.5" Sat Nav with UK and Ireland Maps Reviews
52 of 53 people found the following review helpful Good, fit for pupose, Amazon Verified Purchase( What is this?) This review is from: Garmin Nuvi 2240 3.5" Sat Nav with UK and Western Europe Maps (24 Countries) (Electronics) Very good, exception is that is describes turning left/right into this or that street by name rather than next left/right, also it describes road numbers in their full numbers e.g. A617 as 'A six hundred and seventeen' A6610 as 'A six thousand six hundred and ten', and so on, can be a bit confusing. Like the sound alerts when entering speed camera/traffic light camera zones. As I am becoming more used to it the more I like it. Looking forward to a European adventure with the device. 43 of 44 people found the following review helpful Fine, but Amazon's description contains errors, By Amazon Verified Purchase( What is this?) This review is from: Garmin Nuvi 2200 3.5" Sat Nav with UK and Ireland Maps (Electronics) This is a perfectly decent Satnav, and we're enjoying using it. However, the Amazon description on this page says that it includes Lane Assist and Junction View, which the 2200 does not. We only found this out after we had received it and used it. We chose to pay a bit more for this model because we thought we were getting these features. So now I'm not sure what we paid the extra for, given that we could have got a 1200 for less which has a similar spec. I agree with the previous comment that it is weird that it reads out the road numbers as a whole number rather than a series of number (e.g. A one-thousand-two-hundred-and-eighty-seven instead of A one, two, eight, seven), but we'll get used to it. Overall, fine, but we're a bit annoyed the description is wrong on this page. I'm sure Amazon would refund/replace with no questions, but it's too much hassle to send it back, and we've used it a quite a bit now. 11 of 11 people found the following review helpful Great, little sat nav, By Ginger Kate (UK) - See all my reviews This review is from: Garmin Nuvi 2200 3.5" Sat Nav with UK and Ireland Maps (Electronics) This is a well priced, smart sat nav, and very small if you do want to carry it with you and not leave it in the car. I haven't explored all its functions but it gets me from a-b, clearly, with all the functions you could want. |
